Nea Odos and Kentriki Odos comprise 380 km of motorways, with 32 bridges of a total length of over 7 km, 15 tunnels of a total length of over 15 km,185 under & overpasses and 30 ICs and semi-I/Cs. It connects Athens to many peripheral municipalities, thus giving rise to exceptionally dense road traffic.

NEW ALERT has been appointed with the upgrade and redesign of the SCADA and Automation systems for Tunnels T1 to T6 of Deviation of Ag. Konstantions and Kamena Vourla. We created a reliable, flexible solution, that helps traffic managers and operations personnel alike enjoy full control over all subsystems, in every imaginable situation. Our Solution was based on industrial PLC and SCADA systems, which control and monitor everything from pumps and lighting, to traffic lights and CCTV cameras. Our open, flexible system is distinguished by its great simplicity of use, for both traffic managers and operations personnel.

The project was especially challenging as all works and site acceptance tests had to be carried out in open traffic conditions and with parallel operation of the existing system.
