Aegean Motorway SA manages the section of PATHE Motorway from Raches, Fthiotida Prefecture (km 242+079) to Kleidi, Imathia Prefecture (km. 471+470), of a total of 229.40 km and the section of the Old National Road from Evangelismos I/C to Leptokarya I/C, of a total of 34.30 km. Amongst others, it features two twin tunnels at Tembi with lengths 2 and 6 km (T3 is the longest tunnel in the Balkan region) and one twin tunnel at Platamonas with 2,7 km length.

For this project NEW ALERT has delivered the software integration platform. This contemporary highway uses state-of the-art Traffic Management and Life Safety

systems. These systems combine advanced sensory and computer technologies to detect tunnel fire, as well as to deal with quickly, safely and most effectively

emergency situations. The online Traffic Management System ensure quick and proper passenger and driver information, for safe and efficient extraction of people from the tunnel in case of risk.

Telegra’s topXview™ is the expert base for complete functional and ergonomic integration of all life safety and traffic management systems implemented in Aegean Motorway the. It is the “brains” and the “eyes” of the complete highway.

All the systems in the Highway are being monitored from one single point – the Main Operating Center, located on the west side of the tunnel. The Integrated Management

System allows specially trained operators to take effective action, in case of any disturbance or incident in the highway. Thanks to the complete functional and ergonomic integration of control and safety systems, provided by topXview™, operators’ work in OMC is very efficient and reliable. The main advantage of this integrated system is the implementation of predefined procedures and plans for resolving possible incidents (Emergency Response Plans ERP).
